A young buffalo stops by the Gibbons River in Yellowstone National Park. This image was taken while a large herd of buffalo meandered through Yellowstone blocking traffic for miles. As there was no place to go it was a great opportunity to stop and photograph them as they passed. An interesting tidbit, Yellowstone is home to largest remaining herd of genetically pure bison. The majority of other buffalo have intermingled with cattle long ago.
