Nebraska Moment
Puffy clouds form in the late evening above a row of hay bales in eastern Nebraska.

On a lazy late summer day in 2007 I found myself driving randomly around eastern Nebraska as I have been known to do. As the sun began to sink in the horizon I came across these bales lined up along the edge of a field. The last warmth of the sun made the hues of the grass even more golden than normal. The clouds above moved slowly across the scene and reflected a bit of the warmer hues as well. It was a perfect Nebraska moment.
