Chimney Rock in western Nebraska was a beacon for early settlers. As the sun sets at DeSoto Bend National Wildlife Refuge the sky seems to light on fire.  This photograph was captured on a brisk, early spring evening, the remaining clouds streaked across the sky and reflected the colors of the setting sun.
Just as the sun dipped below the horizon and I turned toward home, I found this country road that had been created through the grass.  I stopped quickly and was only able to make a couple of exposures before the all the light was gone.
