Keeping Them Safe and Warm

Spring is my favorite time of the year at Schramm State Recreation Area in eastern Nebraska. During the end of April and the beginning of May the goslings have just been born and are waddling around the ponds. The bright bleeding hearts are blooming near the hatchery museum and everything is greening up. The park is full of life and it’s a great time to take a hike through the forest.
